Tundra's Story
Meet Tundra.

This girl is a heartbreaker. Literally.

She is a gorgeous, purebred Rottweiler who has a congenital heart defect. Essentially, her heart can stop beating at any time. It could be tomorrow, or it could be when she is 15. We just don't know. But we think that shouldn't stop her from living her best life.

Tundra loves to play, and loves to learn new things. Treats and toys are the bees knees for this party girl. She is great on the leash, especially when treats are involved and we use her at our facility to train new staff because she is so well behaved. She knows all sorts of cool things!

She can be a little nervous with new people but a single treat and she's you're best friend. Due to her heart condition, we do keep her out of stressful situations whenever possible, and don’t take her into busy environments, or do any exposure type work with her - she’s better hanging at home and playing with her humans, or going for easy hikes.

Tundra is crate trained, housebroken and a perpetual puppy at heart. She cannot be spayed, because she cannot undergo anesthesia.

We are looking for a responsible, adult only home that will sanctuary her (and spoil her) for as long as she is with us...which could be 2 months, or 12 years. We just don’t know. The good news is, Tundra doesn’t know anything is wrong with her. And if you don’t tell her, she’ll continue living her best puppy life for as long as she can.

It's best if she is the only dog, so she can live out her days being spoiled rotten and the center of the universe. She has so much love to give and she deserves all the love in the world in return.

Our rescue will cover all medical expenses for life. Please consider offering sanctuary to this perfect pup. Adopters should be within easy driving distance of our facility in Port Angeles so she can return for regular vet visits.

If you are interested in providing sanctuary for this special pup, complete an application https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TRRA/Dog
