Tulsa's Story

Meet Tulsa affectionately known as Chili 🌶️ by her foster family.

Chili is a beautiful 1-2 year old Red Tri Australian Shepherd who thrives on companionship and being part of her people’s everyday life. She is happiest when her whole “pack” is together and will happily follow her people from room-to-room. Chili is best suited for a home that values a close, people-oriented dog.

Chili sleeps in her crate every night and is also crated while her foster family is at work. When left out of her crate and alone during the day, she worries when she can’t find her people. She has never been destructive or had accidents, but we've found that her crate is where she feels most secure.

She is fully house-trained and reliably lets us know when she needs to go outside. Chili also has a solid foundation of basic training: she knows sit, look, go potty, and out of the kitchen. She walks well on leash. While she does pull some, it is very manageable.

Chili loves everyone in the household, and greets returning family members with joyful excitement. Chili also gets along well with our resident dog and has shown no signs of resource guarding.

She would do best in a home that sees her need for companionship as a strength and is happy to include her in daily routines. With continued consistency and reassurance, Chili has the potential to be an incredibly devoted and affectionate companion.

Although she hasn’t been in a home with small children while with the rescue she’s met some on her adventures and seems to do well.

Cats are an unknown.

Due to some allergies she has been placed on a no chicken diet and would do best to continue this in her new home.

Tulsa is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm and tick disease negative and on preventatives.

She is ready to find her forever family.

Miller's Cause Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
Thanks for your interest in our adoptable dogs. All of our dogs are in private foster homes and therefore require an approved adoption application prior to setting up a meet and greet. You may fill out our adoption application by clicking the link below. https://www.millerscause.org/requirements We do allow out of state adoptions however transport is limited and many of our dogs require in person meet and greets. Please read each bio carefully as most dogs do require a fenced in yard, another doggy playmate, or cannot be placed in a home with children. If the bio doesn't specify, please ask if you need clarification.
