Tula Bean's Story

Hello! My name is Tula and I came from Cambodia during the pandemic. I was found wandering the streets with my brother as a puppy. I’m not sure who my parents are, but I found a nice person and moved to the United States in 2021.

Up until recently, I had been living with a young family but I am uncomfortable being around small children. We tried for two years, but my family thought it best to find a home where I could be happier.

I love to be outside, take hikes in the woods, play with squeaky ball toys, and sofa time with my foster family. I am skittish around new people, requiring time and patience to warm up to a new environment. My foster parents say that I am independent and enjoy being the boss of the household. Tula will do best as an only dog with no other free roaming pets or young children.

We recently learned a lot about Tula Bean's genetic background. Thai Ridgeback breeds are selective of their people, loyal, intelligent, and very active. They love to chase small critters and would do extremely well in agility courses. She is incredibly graceful, prances around the backyard happily, and loves to throw her head back like a sea lion. Tula will do well in a calm home and understands that she needs to hang out in a crate while her people work. She is housetrained and has done well in the car.Tula is VERY treat motivated (especially loves cheese), learns fast, and approaches us excitedly for attention. Have we mentioned how soft she is?

She will not be attending PAWS adoption events, so please reach out to schedule a meet and greet with Tula today!

Every PAWS dog is loved, vetted, and ready for a fresh start
