Tula's Story
TULA - WHERE THE SUN ALWAYS LANDS

1 year 36 lbs Hound/Shepherd Mix

Some dogs chase light.
Tula carries it.

She's one year old, thirty-six pounds of honey-colored motion, and she glows like morning through a kitchen window. Her coat gleams like satin left out in sunshine, her eyes are full of questions, and her joy hums quietly under her ribs like a well-tuned engine.

Forget the hound cliches - no howling, no drool, no drama. Tula's the tidy kind of happy: hops in the car without complaint, trots two miles beside you like it's nothing, and somehow smells faintly of optimism. She's equal parts garden assistant and private investigator - sniffing roses, cataloguing squirrels, and pretending she meant to chase that leaf.

She's dog-friendly, respectful of cats, calm in storms, and sleeps like a saint in her crate. Spayed, vaccinated, heartworm-negative, and wholly positive about everything else. Medium-high energy, yes - but her restlessness feels more like purpose than chaos. When she wants your attention, she'll rest one gentle paw on you, as if reminding you that joy still asks politely.

Tula would thrive in a calm, child-free home - not because she doesn't adore people, but because she loves them so completely she prefers her devotion undivided.

She's not looking for adventure so much as a co-adventurer - someone who knows that life's best stories happen in sunlight, with muddy paws and a heartbeat beside you.

Adopt Tula.
You'll never need to chase the light again - it'll be waiting by the door, wagging.

PLEASE READ BELOW:

If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, the first step is to complete an application and read all of our FAQs:

https://www.takepawsrescue.org/adopt

Please note: Information to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application.
*An inquiry, questions or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application*
All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily.
