TUCKER's Story

Tucker (A138320) is a 1-year-4-month-old KBD mix who weighed over 60 lbs at intake! 02/06/26 This handsome guy is Tucker! Tucker was being picked on by the numerous other dogs in his previous home, so his previous owners thought he deserved a less chaotic home. Tucker is a pretty shy kid who is looking for a patient owner that can help him gain confidence on a leash. Tucker is not used to having things around his neck, such as collars or leashes. He has been getting more confident while at the shelter, but it would be great for him to find a home that can continue to work with him and possibly enroll him in a basic obedience class with a certified trainer! Tucker is used to being around kids, babies, other dogs and even cats, kittens and chickens! He was said to do well with all of them! He was said to prefer women to men. Tucker is said to be kennel trained and housebroken, but it should be noted that he had a doggy door and was able to take himself outside into a secure fenced in area in his previous home. Establishing a routine will be important to set him up for success in a new home. Tucker was said to ride well in the car. He has been known to get into trash or food that is left out where he can reach it. He has also been known to be vocal at times. If you are interested in meeting Tucker, please give us a call!
