Tucker's Story
Meet Tucker the tiny gentleman with the biggest heart.
Tucker is an 8-year-old neutered Chihuahua who is microchipped, fully vaccinated, and very possibly one of the sweetest little dogs on the planet. After fostering him for several months, I can honestly say I understand why people become foster failures. If Tucker stayed forever, I wouldnt complain one bit.
He is the kind of dog who quietly works his way into your heart and suddenly becomes part of every favorite moment in your day. Morning coffee? Tuckers there. Evening movie? Tuckers already curled up beside you. Car ride? Hes ready before you are. He loves walks, loves to play, and has mastered the art of snuggling like its his full-time job.
Tucker also has a signature move I lovingly call the meerkat. When requesting seated belly rubs which are his absolute favorite thing in the world he lifts up his little top half and waits expectantly for you to do your duty. Hes incredibly patient, endlessly loving, and somehow always manages to make people smile.
Unlike many Chihuahuas, Tucker is remarkably calm and quiet. He barely barks, gets along wonderfully with both large and small dogs, and will even tolerate wearing sweaters and posing for family photos like the seasoned professional he is. He is crate trained and house trained, though he may occasionally mark if another male dog has already left his own review.
Tucker does have a heart murmur and takes daily medication. He has already had an echocardiogram and will need continued yearly monitoring and ongoing medication management. His care is not inexpensive, and I want to be transparent about that because he deserves a family prepared to give him the medical support he needs.
And he is worth every single penny.
Tuckers only real flaw if you can even call it that is that he loves his person deeply and prefers not to share lap privileges with other furry siblings. Any other dogs in the home will need to respect that Tucker believes cuddles are a sacred one-on-one activity.
I am being extremely selective about where Tucker goes because this little dog is truly special. He deserves a calm, loving home that will cherish him the way he deserves to be cherished.
If you are looking for a loyal companion, a professional snuggler, a tiny best friend with a gentle soul, and a dog who will love you with everything he has, Tucker is waiting for you.
