Tucker's Story

💛🐶
Meet Tucker — a 5–6-year-old, 15-lb little scruffy survivor with the sweetest soul. Tucker spent nearly two weeks running through a freezing ice storm before a trapper was finally able to bring him to safety and into a warm, loving foster home. We believe he lived much of his life as a backyard dog, and the comforts of indoor life are still wonderfully new to him.

At first, Tucker didn’t quite understand why humans wanted to dote on him—but now he’s starting to seek out that affection. Being picked up is still a learning experience (his legs go a bit stiff at first), but within a minute he relaxes and settles in. New situations can make him quiet and unsure, yet with gentle encouragement, his bravery shines through more each day.

Tucker is curious, sweet, and endearingly awkward in the best way. He enjoys his walks, likes meeting other dogs, and gains confidence with every outing. He has the cutest little underbite, with two tiny bottom teeth that sometimes peek out, and beautiful eyes—each a different color. One eye may have been injured long ago and never treated, but he can still see from it and gets around just fine.

This darling, easy-going boy would love a quieter home where his gentle nature is appreciated. Another small dog to keep him company would be wonderful but isn’t required. Tucker is looking for patient, kind people who will embrace his little quirks, continue his confidence-building walks, and show him how good life can be.

Tucker's breeds are unknown, so our best guess is maybe a Jack Russel, with some Dachshund and a sprinkle of Chihuahua. Super Mutt!!

Tucker is ready for his new beginning—and he’ll reward you with a soft heart, steady progress, and a whole lot of quiet love. 💙
