Tuck's Story
Tuck is a happy-go-lucky, 2 to 3-year-old pup who’s all heart and wiggles. At 55 pounds, he might look like a medium-sized dog, but in his mind, he’s 100% lap dog. He lives for love, cuddles, and being close to his people.
Tuck’s journey hasn’t been easy—he found himself on the euthanasia list at an LA shelter due to fear, anxiety, and stress in his kennel. But once he landed in a loving foster home through P4P, his true personality blossomed. Now, he's ready to find his forever family.
Tuck is incredibly dog-friendly and currently shares his foster home with an adorable pack of pups, including playful 9-week-old foster puppies and a wise 8-year-old French Bulldog. He’s been gentle, tolerant, and even puppy-approved! While he hasn’t met children yet, his sweet and social nature suggests he’d do just fine with proper introductions.
This energetic guy loves to stay active—daily exercise is a must! Tuck enjoys trotting around the yard with a ball in his mouth (though he’s not quite sold on the concept of fetch), squeaky toys, and daily walks. He's still mastering his leash manners but is improving every day with his Easy Walk harness.
After all that activity, Tuck is a champion snuggler. He loves couch time and is happiest curled up next to his person—or in their bed. He’s a smart cookie too—he knows his name, responds well to corrections, and has shown zero signs of resource guarding or aggression.
Tuck has handled free roam of the house like a pro while his foster mom is at work—no destruction, and he’ll use a potty pad if needed. Crates aren’t his favorite (understandable, given his past), but he’s proven he doesn’t need one.
One unique trait: Tuck has a quiet, raspy bark—likely due to damaged or removed vocal cords. But don't worry, his heart speaks volumes. It's clear he was once loved, and he's more than ready to be cherished again.
2025 hasn’t been Tuck’s year… yet. But with the right family, he’s ready for his happily ever after. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a big heart, a playful spirit, and world-class cuddles, Tuck might just be your perfect match.
Ready to meet Tuck? He’s ready to love you.
