What is Washington City Animal Shelter’s adoption process?

First we ensure the adopters have financial and physical means to care for an animal. We then let the adopter meet their potential pet to observe the interaction while discussing the finite details of that animal and/or breed. If everything works out we will send the adopter home with their new best friend! We do what we can to ensure the pairing is the best match for the person and the animal.

Is Tubby good with kids?

Tubby is good with kids under the age of 5 and kids over the age of 5.

Is Tubby good with other animals?

Tubby is not good with other dogs and cats.

When can I meet Tubby?

As soon as the adoption organization has a chance to review your information, they’ll reach out with next steps and timing.

When can I adopt Tubby?
