Trumpet's Story

Trumpet, lovingly called Truman by his foster family, is a special pup with the sweetest little face and a heart that blooms slowly but surely. Hes not the kind of dog to dive headfirst into cuddleshe takes his time getting to know people and needs a family who will respect his boundaries and let him move at his own pace.

What makes Trumpet truly shine is his love for fellow dogs. He feels most comfortable with a canine companion by his side and would thrive in a home with another dog to help guide and reassure him.

Because Trumpet is a sensitive boy, meeting him will be a multi-step process designed to set him up for success:

First meeting Trumpet meets just the humans.

Second meeting Trumpet meets the humans and the resident dog(s).

Final step A full-day playdate to make sure everyone feels comfortable together.

While Trumpet may not be overly affectionate from the start, once he settles in, he shows his lovable and endearing side in ways that make the wait worthwhile. Hes adorable, gentle, and deserving of a patient family who will celebrate him for who he is.

If you have room in your heart (and home) for a sensitive pup who just needs a little extra time to blossom, Trumpet may be the perfect addition to your pack.

From his foster mom: Hes great with other dogs, once slowly introduced and walks well on a leash. He wants to be included in what his humans are doing, whether it working, watching tv or playing in the yard.
