Truffle (Cornfield 6)

Truffles is an amazing young lady. <br/><br/>She came to her current foster on 3/7. Our wonderful foster spent 4 hours outdoors with her and introduced her to every human family member and her 3 dogs. Truffles did great with each dog (varying breeds 35lb, 63 lb, and 85lb). She also met 1 outgoing cat and 3 feral felines who live with her foster family .<br/><br/>Truffles has made great progress in her loving foster home. She used to be afraid to walk in or out of an open door, now she comes in or out when her foster mom calls her. She sits for treats and is very gentle when she takes them. She is fully potty trained and will be very persistent with nudging her mom or give kisses if she needs outside and is not near the back door. She also seems to understand "outside?" Her foster is working with her on leash training.<br/><br/>She prefers to sleep with a human. She is 100% snuggles and cuddles. She prefers to sit curled up next to people or a dog / cat friend. <br/><br/>She is crate trained when home alone. She does need chew toys or she will grab the nearest item (remotes, socks seem to be favorites but she has not destroyed the clothing items, she just carries them around)<br/><br/>Truffles is FAST! She loves to rough house play with all of the dogs in the foster home. 1 puppy foster and 3 dogs (2 years, 3 years, 8 years old) she is fine with cats. Not sure how she is with young kids because she hasn't lived with young kids.<br/><br/>Truffles picks a human and listens best to that person but also follows the dog pack and does what they do. <br/><br/>She needs a patient human who wants a snuggle buddy. She could do well in a home with a well mannered pack. She is not an alpha and needs either humans in charge or healthy dog leaders.<br/><br/>Truffle is 50 pounds and estimated to be 1-2 years old. <br/><br/>If you can give Truffle a safe place to continue to build her confidence in a loving family, apply at ricopetrecovery.org.
