Trudy's Story

Trudy is a tiny shadow with a big, gentle heart and an easygoing presence that makes her impossible not to love.

Trudy is shy at first in the sweetest way, but she warms up quickly and then wants nothing more than to be near her people. She quietly follows her foster around the house, moving from room to room and finding a cozy spot nearby to curl up and nap. She's a low-energy, sleepy girl most of the time, with adorable little spurts of play when the fuzzy squeaky toys come out. She loves to play fetch, proudly carries her toys around, and may even sneak them under the bed for safekeeping.

On walks, Trudy is an easy, gentle companion. She walks nicely on leash without pulling and enjoys taking in the world at her own pace. She's curious about new people and dogs, often stopping for a polite sniff before happily observing from a comfortable distance. Noisy, barky dogs can make her a little nervous, but she's content quietly exploring and watching everything around her.

Indoors, she's mostly quiet, loves belly rubs, gives gentle kisses, and has learned an irresistibly cute slow-motion "sit." She sleeps soundly through the night in her crate and feels happiest when she knows her people are close by. She's partially house trained and improving with a consistent potty schedule.

Her foster's favorite thing about her? How sweet, calm, and well-mannered she is, and how happy she is just being right next to you.

Trudy's ideal home is with someone who's around often and wants a little love bug to share the couch, the bed nearby, and the quiet moments of everyday life.

If you're looking for sweet natured dog with a loving heart, Trudy is ready to be your loyal best friend.

If you are interested in adopting, head to hitlivingfoundation.org/adopt to apply

Est DOB: 04/21/2023
Adoption Fee: $550

*If you see me without a cherry eye, that's AI but what I will look like after my surgery on 5/21/26.
