Hi, I’m Troy, a one-and-a-half-year-old mixed-breed good boy who can’t wait to meet you and your kids—and maybe follow you home if you fall in love with me. I’m an easygoing guy who’s always up for whatever adventure you have in mind, whether it’s exploring local hiking trails, wandering the neighborhood, or just relaxing together at home. I do have one request for my future family: no feline roommates, please. Cats are just a little too tempting for me to chase, and I want everyone to stay happy and safe. I’m a fun, affectionate companion who’s ready to bring joy, energy, and plenty of tail wags into your life. Come meet me today—I have a feeling we’ll hit it off right away.

Great Plains SPCA's Adoption Policy

We are open for adoptions, no appointment necessary, Wednesdays through Sundays from 11am-7pm. On Monday and Tuesday, we are available for adoptions by appointment only. -We recommend (and in some cases require) that all members of the household meet the pet prior to adoption. -Great Plains SPCA runs background checks on adopters and adults in the home over 18. -Great Plains SPCA requires all visitors to wear masks that cover the nose and mouth at all times while inside our buildings. Our expert matchmakers look forward to finding you the perfect furry family member! Adoption Requirements: - Adopter must be 18 years of age or older. - For the safety and health of our animals, we do not ship pets. - Pet adoption fees range from $60 to $450. Our adoption fees help to offset the cost of evaluation, housing, feeding and medical care for the thousands of animals needing our help. We do our best to keep our adoption prices reasonable while generating income to support our goal of caring for animals available for adoption until we can place them in a loving home. The adoption fee for each animal varies and is dependent on many factors including: age, size, behavior, medical condition, and public demand.
