Trooper's Story

How Trooper arrived:Trooper was brought in by his previous owner on June 29, 2026. Why Trooper is the one for you:Trooper is reporting for duty as your new chief of sniffing, zoomies, and very serious grass-rolling operations. This handsome goofball has a nose for fun and a talent for turning an ordinary walk into a full-scale adventure. Trooper can have a bit of "stranger danger", but once he feels comfortable, his playful personality comes right out. He enjoys bouncing around, offering adorable play bows, and showing off his delightfully silly side. Trooper has a positive history with dogs and may enjoy a canine companion after a thoughtful introduction. Trooper is deaf and may have some vision impairment, so he needs people who appreciate his special way of experiencing the world; a calm, predictable home where he can have space to adjust is an important part of helping him feel safe. He's looking for a home without young kids (10+) and we recommend that the whole family come for the meet-and-greet! The best Trooper teammates will celebrate consistency, patience, and peaceful hangouts until he feels more comfortable. Trooper may take a little time to warm up, but the reward is one wonderfully goofy, gentle-snacking, grass-rolling, tail-wagging pal! Give this brave little Trooper patience, kindness, and a calm home base, and he will be ready to report for love! Please bring a leash and collar when adopting. At SDHS:Trooper has been vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. He is now ready for adoption! Primary Color: White Weight: 63lbs Age: 6yrs 1mths 4wks Animal has been Neutered
