Trooper's Story

🪖 Meet Trooper!
Trooper is a big, athletic young guy, with an even bigger heart. He’s incredibly gentle with people of all ages, amazing with kids, and greets the world with soft eyes and polite manners. 🤵🏼‍♂️ He's working on polishing his basic commands and showing he truly is a gem.
He’s fully house trained and happily goes into his kennel, though he’s still working through a little kennel anxiety and may sing 🎶 you a short sad song before settling down for a nap. (Sometimes he even chooses to relax in his kennel with the door open just because it feels safe.)
He adores other dogs and truly must have a canine buddy in his forever home. 🐕 A confident dog friend helps him feel secure and brings out his playful, goofy side. He’s pretty respectful of cats 🐈 and can even be found snoozing next to one, though every now and then he needs a gentle reminder that not all cats want to play chase.
Trooper is smart, independent, and a little stubborn in that endearing, working-dog way. His recall is still a work in progress, and in his future forever home - he absolutely must have supervised outdoor time rather than being left alone in a yard.
He loves to play and train, but he also has a mellow, affectionate side and enjoys simply hanging out with his people. He’s extremely photogenic, wonderfully cuddly, and will happily “help” you keep your counters clean by reminding you not to leave snacks unattended. 😄
Trooper is loyal, loving, and deeply bonded to his humans. With a dog friend, a secure setup, and a family willing to keep encouraging his confidence, he’s going to be an extraordinary companion.
If you’re looking for a gentle giant who’s equal parts adventure buddy and couch cuddler, Trooper is ready to leap straight into your heart.
https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TGLR/Dog
