Trooper's Story

Meet Trooper – Your Future Shadow with Big Brown Eyes - Transport Available Nationwide

Do you want a dog who simply wants to be with you? Then let me introduce myself. I am Trooper, and closeness is my favorite thing in the whole world.

I am a young black Lab mix with floppy ears, long legs, and soft brown eyes. Life has not always been kind to me, and I am still healing from some wounds, but I have met every challenge with a gentle spirit. My foster family says I have been nothing but sweet the whole way through, and I like to think that says a lot about who I am.

I am the kind of companion who is content to be quietly nearby. I do not need a lot of fuss. Just let me be part of your routine, rest near you, and know that I belong. When it is time to have fun, though, my puppy side comes out, and I am always ready to add some joy to the day.

Other dogs are my friends, and I do really well with them. The cat at my foster home and I have reached an understanding: we coexist, even if I still bark at her now and then or try to get a closer look. Potty training is going well too. I am improving every day with just a few small accidents along the way.

A home with steady routines and lots of togetherness is where I will truly shine. I have been brave for a long time. Now I am ready to just be loved.

Trooper is fully vetted and ready to go.
