Thank you!**

Mysterious as the dark side of the moon, we introduce you to Trixie Moon - a 9 month old, Pug mix, who weighs about 16 pounds (as of 2/4/26). She was part of the MOON pups who were surrendered to us in Tennessee. While Trixie found her family here in New England, they unfortunately couldn't keep her due to allergies! Bummer! But no hard feelings. Trixie understands. She's looking for her next fur-ever family and hopes it'll be yours!

While Trixie's owner was sad to let her go, she left a GLOWING review: "Trixie has been a great companion to me and my grandchildren loved her. She has been loved by all of us! She is very friendly, loves to cuddle in bed for the night...She will sleep all night and arise about 5/5:30 am to go outside. She was not house-broken when I got her and it took about 2 weeks and she now goes out to do her business. I use the pee pads for accidents or when I am out for the day (work 1 day week). I do not crate her as she really disliked and caused her extra stress. She takes naps during the day especially after active play time and outdoor walks.

Trixie was a little timid at first; about 2 weeks to settle in. She would find a place to hide her first few days in her new home. I followed the 3-3-3 rule and did not introduce her to new people or environments for two weeks. I kept her indoors for the initial 2 weeks and slowly introduced her to going outdoors and then lastly to other dogs. She is now fully used to going outdoors, the noise of the cars, trains, people do not startle her anymore. She enjoys meeting new friends ! She plays well with them; no aggressive behavior ever observed.

She is super smart and a fast learner. She knows words like "sit" if you are giving a treat of course, "nap", "bed", she will go lay in her bed or jump into my bed at night like clockwork! by 8pm! LOL where we watch TV until zzzzzz sleep! She can fetch and she responds to "come" and "no". She was not leashed train, now she is and enjoys long walks and short trips to the doggie park to play with her friends! She's still a pup so requires supervision while playing with other pups to ensure safe playtime! She loves to go out! She does well in the car as long as she is seat-belted.

Diet: She loves to play with you and her toys! Would do well with children as she is very active, and playful! She enjoys her treats; a little too much; she has gained quite a few lbs since! I give her apples, limit cheese; but she loves it; carrots, real beef bones that I cook down. She will be entertained for a few hours (loves to chew). She continues on Science Diet kibble and I occasionally add pumpkin, chicken breast, and lean meats, as toppers.

Social: Trixie gets along great with other dogs, haven't introduced to cats so not sure, and loves people! She's a jumper, so still working on this behavior! It's all about being a puppy and she just gets so excited! She is familiar with the words: "no jump" and has been responsive to this command most of the time. She has not received other vaccinations yet based on VCA vaccine recommendations."

When it comes to being amazing, Trixie stands out! She's a complete doll and would be a great companion to any family! Adopt this sweet girl today!

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

To adopt or learn more about Trixie Moon, you must fill out an adoption application. The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application.
