TRIXIE's Story

Check out Trixie (A568009)! Trixie is still pretty new around here. She came to us as a stray and is doing her best to figure out this whole shelter routine, but she has made one thing very clear from day one. She wants to be as close to her person as possible. If you sit down, she will be in your lap or curled at your feet before you can blink. She is a fun little mix of playful and gentle. Trixie likes toys and will chase them or pick them up, although she has absolutely no interest in bringing them back. Her leash manners are lovely and she walks like she has had some practice. We are also fairly confident she may be housetrained based on her kennel habits. In playgroup she has been friendly with both males and females and genuinely seems to enjoy being part of the fun. She is the kind of dog who just wants to be included, whether that is as a member of a dog pack or simply as someone’s little shadow in a home. Trixie is estimated to be around 2 years old and weighs 46 pounds. All animals adopted from Huntsville Animal Services are microchipped, appropriately vaccinated, spayed/neutered and given a 30 day flea/tick preventative. Ready to meet Trixie? Stop by 4950 Triana Blvd SW in Huntsville, Alabama. No appointment is necessary to meet our available animals. All adopters must be 19 years or older and be able to provide a valid ID.
