Trixie

Trixie was found on a country road on February 1st. She was wearing a remote control training collar. She happily hopped into the car of the people that found her. Her pads were bleeding and worn down like she had been walking on the road for awhile. They kept her for two weeks hoping she would be claimed. She didn’t have any identification or microchip. <br/><br/>She weighs 12 pounds and based on her teeth about 1 1/2 years old. She has been wormed and heart worm negative. <br/><br/>She loves people and is affectionate and playful, loves to sit on my lap chewing on her nylabone. So far not dog friendly and barks at everything new she sees. Loves walking but barks a lot. She is quiet most of the time in the house. She is quiet in her kennel at night. <br/><br/>She might need some work with her house training but is doing good so far. <br/><br/>She likes spending time outside but needs a fenced area. She is not destructive but can chew long and hard on her nylabone<br/><br/>We don’t know her history with other dogs but believe she would do best as an only dog. She doesn’t like my Yorkie mix and the feeling is mutual. She might be fine with other dogs in a different situation but not sure. <br/><br/>I think she attaches quickly to her person. She is very smart and does listen when you say no or sit.
