Introducing Trixie!<br/><br/>Trixie is a lovely black & white Aussie/Border Collie mix with a fluffy full tail. She currently weighs just shy of 40 lbs and is estimated to beapproximately 2 years old. She is the mother of Jana, Loretta, and Ernie and came to rescue after they were dropped off at an intake shelter in rural WI. She is up to date on shots, and will be getting spayed prior to adoption.<br/><br/>Trixie is noted to be a very sweet, friendly girl who loves to play with other dogs. She desperately wants to play with the current resident dog, who is not so interested. She is quick and shows interest in playing with toys and chasing balls. She is a bit higher energy and will look for ways to entertain herself, so is learning that counter surfing is not a great way to expend energy. She does not have any known history of obedience training and tends to pull on the leash. However Trixie is a quick learner and really does want to please.<br/><br/>She would excel in a home that has another doggy playmate and would enjoy a family that is willing invest some time and training. She also shows great potential for dog sports. She is sensitive to corrections, and does respond more quickly to positive reinforcement.<br/><br/>This young girl is all done being a mom and is ready for a second chance with the right family.<br/><br/>The details:<br/><br/>Needs fence: No, but needs trusted recall established before being off leash.<br/><br/>Good with dogs: Yes<br/><br/>Good with cats: Unknown<br/><br/>Good with kids: Seems to be<br/><br/>All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers. All dogs have an adoption fee of $400 plus MN sales tax. We pride ourselves on matches that are awesome for both the dog and your family.
