Trixie's Story

Trixie is a loveable, ~7 year old female Maltese/Yorkie Mix who is looking for a new home. She came with several other dogs after their owner's health declined. Trixie is very sweet, happy and affectionate. She has been around other dogs and is tolerant, but would do best in a home where she is the only dog and receives a lot of attention. She does well with cats and older children and is great on a leash. Trixie is working on her house-training and will require someone who is patient and understanding, as she will need help with it. Trixie would make an excellent companion/lap dog. If you're interested in meeting her please call (419) 294-4477 Ext. 3 from 9AM-5PM to schedule an appointment.

WCHS Adoptions are a 2-Step Process

Step 1— Visit our shelter! (Appointments Required)
The animal of your choice will be reserved for you at the time of scheduling. (Prospective adopters may be shown multiple animals, subject to availability.)

Step 2— Pick up your new pet!
Pickups are generally 3-5 business days after completing adoption paperwork at your in-person appointment. This allows HOPE Clinic time to prep your new pet for their forever home, including spay/neuter surgery (if not already fixed), a microchip, vaccines, and other care depending on the species. Once the animal is ready, we'll call you to coordinate pickup! (Pickup times are generally in the evenings.)
