Trixie's Story

Trixie’s story didn’t start the way a puppy’s should.<br/><br/>She was born under a house on a property where dogs weren’t treated like family. No soft beds. No toys. No gentle hands. She was the only puppy from her litter to survive—tiny, overlooked, and left to fend for herself.<br/><br/>When she was old enough to eat on her own, one of our trusted rescue partners stepped in and brought her to safety. And somehow… despite everything…<br/><br/>She didn’t just survive. She thrived.<br/><br/>But her story has a heartbreaking piece we can’t ignore.<br/><br/>Trixie’s mama—a sweet Rottweiler—was still out there. That same rescue partner tried to save her too.<br/><br/>But they weren’t allowed.<br/><br/>Not long after, we learned she had been starving and scavenging for food on a nearby property… and she was shot and killed.<br/><br/>We’ll never understand why.<br/><br/>What we do know is this:<br/>Trixie gets to have a different ending.<br/><br/>Thanks to an incredible foster family, she’s grown into a happy, confident, affectionate puppy who truly loves people and other dogs. The same little girl who was once afraid now runs toward you for snuggles and attention.<br/><br/>She’s learning all the good puppy basics—<br/>✔️ Potty training (doing great!)<br/>✔️ Basic commands<br/>✔️ Leash walking<br/>✔️ Social skills with other dogs<br/><br/>She’s playful, loving, and full of personality—an all-around good girl with a huge zest for life.<br/><br/>We know her mama was a Rottweiler, and we suspect Trixie may be mixed with something smaller like a bully breed (maybe pittie or bulldog), which could keep her on the more compact side—likely around 40–50 pounds full grown.<br/><br/>Trixie’s mom didn’t get the life she deserved.<br/><br/>But Trixie can.<br/><br/>If you’re ready to give a resilient, joyful puppy the safe, loving future she was always meant to have…<br/><br/>Trixie is ready for you. 💕
