Trio's Story

Hi, I’m Trio! I’m a 5 year old girl with a big heart and lots of energy. I’m super friendly and love being around people. I'm also quite the scholar and love learning new things. I've learned how to sit, lay down, and roll over since I've been here and I learn something new everyday! I'm also an expert at agility and love going on adventures in the woods or swimming in pools. When I'm not working my brain, I love to run around and play with toys (tug and fetch are SO much fun)! I’m really just looking for someone who understands dogs like me! Someone patient and active who can help me learn more good manners and keep my mind and body occupied. With the right person by my side, I know I can shine and be the amazing companion I’m meant to be!

Animal Protective Foundation's Adoption Policy

Our dedicated staff and volunteers will help you find the perfect match. Browse the animals online first, or just stop in during our shelter hours. Your first step to adopting a pet is to complete an adoption questionnaire available at the shelter. A FEW THINGS TO KNOW: You must be at least 18 years of age to adopt without a parent or guardian. Bring a form of identification with current address, such as a driver’s license. If renting property or living with a parent, you will be asked to provide proof that pets are allowed. We will contact the homeowner for verification. Once a staff member has reviewed your adopter questionnaire, you can spend some time with the animals. Pets are an important part of the family, so if at all possible, all family members should be part of the process.
