Hi, I’m Trio! I’m a 5 year old girl with a big heart and lots of energy. I’m super friendly and love being around people, but I can get a little overwhelmed and excited quickly, which means I might get jumpy or a bit mouthy when my feelings run high. I like to have an emotional support stuffie or treat to help with that! I’m looking for someone who understands dogs like me! Someone patient who can help me learn good manners and recognize when I need a break. With the right person by my side, I know I can shine and be the amazing companion I’m meant to be!

Animal Protective Foundation's Adoption Policy

Our dedicated staff and volunteers will help you find the perfect match. Browse the animals online first, or just stop in during our shelter hours. Your first step to adopting a pet is to complete an adoption questionnaire available at the shelter. A FEW THINGS TO KNOW: You must be at least 18 years of age to adopt without a parent or guardian. Bring a form of identification with current address, such as a driver’s license. If renting property or living with a parent, you will be asked to provide proof that pets are allowed. We will contact the homeowner for verification. Once a staff member has reviewed your adopter questionnaire, you can spend some time with the animals. Pets are an important part of the family, so if at all possible, all family members should be part of the process.
