Trinity's Story

Trinity is a truly special approximately 2-year-old red heeler mix currently living in foster care in Terlingua, Texas. If you ask the people who have met him, the reviews are consistent: his finder called him the sweetest angel, and his veterinary team described him as gentle and a real sweetheart. After spending time in foster, its easy to see why.

Trinity has settled beautifully into home life and has proven himself to be an easy, adaptable companion. He's perfectly housetrained, quiet around the house, and comfortable being left loose both overnight and when home alone. He rides well in the car, walks nicely on leash, and has a calm, non-anxious personality that makes him easy to bring along for life's adventures.

In foster, Trinity lives successfully with dogs ranging from 6 pounds to 80 pounds and shares his home peacefully with four cats. He's also been around children as young as toddlers and has done great. While he can be a little sensitive when encountering brand-new situations, his overall personality is playful, affectionate, and wonderfully even-keeled. He loves to snuggle, has no body sensitivity, and wins people over quickly with his beautiful brown eyes and impossibly soft coat.

Trinity is also a front-leg tripod with a half-amputated tail, and he's healing wonderfully from his injuries. He doesn't let them define him and he's focused fully on the important things: soft places to nap, people to love, and finding a family of his own.

Thank you for considering an OTAT-WTX rescue! All pets are living in foster homes, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on core vaccines.

If you are interested in adopting, or for more information, please visit our website: https://otatwtx.org/adopt

Our Mission
One Tail at a Time - West Texas (OTAT-WTX) is based in Marfa, TX and works across hundreds of miles of rugged, remote borderland - there’s frequently no cell service, no water, almost no retail, no medical services.
