TREXIE's Story

YOUR VERY OWN SNUFFLEUPAGUS

Meet Trexie

Fifteen pounds of happiness, fun and laughs.

If you love the silly pug personality but not that fine hair shed they sprinkle all over your clothes and furniture, you met your next best friend.

Trexie came to us, still horribly bagged up with milk. Her owner's husband had fled the country and found herself needing to move to a place where no pets were allowed. Trexie had given birth to six puppies, just six weeks prior, so her owner placed an ad on Craigslist for both momma a pups and a lady from three hours away, showed up to take them all. The next day, Trexie was found running around a local WalMart parking lot. Apparently, the lady only wanted the pups and left Trexie there, to find her own home. The original owner saw Trexie's face on a lost and found social media page and ran immediately to WalMart to get her, then started calling rescues to take her, as she was having to hide her from her new landlord.

How could we say no to that face and that story.

Trexie is just a ball of fun. She loves other dogs and people and kisses and hugs and laps and toys and playing with her doggy friends. She will take a minute (and I mean just one minute) to feel comfortable with a new face, canine or human and then the friendship is on.

If you like a small but sturdy dog, with an easy care coat, impossible cuteness, tightly curled tails that never stop wiggling that is housebroken, crate trained, good on a leash, great with cats and dogs and kids, travels well and loves life, you will not want to wait to long to apply for this girl.

BTW, that impossibly cute chiweenie she is grinning with, is also available for adoption. His name is Hot Dog and they really are good friends. Just throwing that out there, in case you were thinking of maybe adding two, instead of one.

Trexie is about two years old, so done with growing. Weighs in at 14lbs. Her wire coat is easy to care for with a wire brush once over, once a week and she really seems to be fairly odor free as well. She would make an awesome addition for just about any type of home be it, condo, apartment, RV, mansion, cabin in the woods, TeePee, Yurt, you name it, she will settle right in. She does alarm bark when stranger danger is present, but quiets when told. Right now she has a big fenced in yard to play in with all her friends, but with daily walks and play time in a safe area, she will be a happy girl in almost any type of homelife. She would LOVE doggy daycare, if you are the working type with a budget that allows.

This one is not going to last too long with all she has to offer (which makes it all the more puzzling why she got dumped at WalMart) so if you are interested, please go to our website at www.allmuttsgreatandsmall.org/adoption and submit the application. We would love to make introductions and get this girl on her way to her forever life with you.

PLEASE NOTE*:

PLEASE NOTE*:

* We require notes from certified doctors when
requesting a dog as an ESA
*Inquiries submitted through Petfinder, are not the
same as applications submitted through our webpage.
*Yes we do out of state adoptions.
*No, we do not transport. You must be willing to come
and meet the dog and take it home with you.
*Yes we do Canadian adoptions.
*If the dog is on Petfinder, it is still available.
*You must be 18 years of age to adopt
*If you submit questions about an adoptable dog,
covered in the Petfinder bio, we will not respond.
*We do not pick the first good application. All Mutts Great and Small's Adoption Policy
We believe there are many different ways to be a successful dog owner. It is our intent to broaden the idea of happy dog/person relationships to go beyond the traditional. Our goal is to place people and dogs together with the intent being compatibility. We know these dogs and we want to match them with the person who will provide them with the best possible life. One they would have chosen themselves had they been able too. We do NOT have a standard list of "must haves", preferring to match dog with adopter. www.allmuttsgreatandsmall.org
