Trenton's Story
Meet Trenton, a SUPER sweet ~2 year old neutered male terrier mix, weighing about 52 lbs! This handsome boy has a unique silvery taupe coat that might just be the SOFEST thing you've ever felt!

Trenton was pulled from an overcrowded kill shelter in east TN in August 2024. He was adopted shortly afterwards and now, due to no fault of his own, he has been returned to PRL a year later

Trenton is a very friendly, outgoing boy who is great with other dogs, people, and kids. He has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats - but we have a feeling he would probably love them and want to be their BFF. He is gentle, loving, and affectionate and he LOVES to be with his people. He is truly an absolute sweetheart of a dog!

Trenton does have some separation anxiety, so he would do best in a home with a remote worker, a retiree, or someone who utilizes doggy daycare when they leave the home for extended periods of time (he plays great with other dogs). He panics in a wire crate and will try to escape, but he does much better in a plastic travel crate.

Trenton is a very special boy and an amazing companion, who just wants to love and be loved. In the right home, Trenton will thrive.

He is medically up to date and housebroken. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs. We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other less desirable dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted. As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding!
