Tre's Story

Meet Tre!

Tre is a loving, energetic boy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. This medium sized pup is full of life and joy, always ready to play, give hugs, and cover you in kisses. He’s the kind of dog who truly just wants to be close to his person, whether that’s running around outside or relaxing together on the couch.

Tre is smart and well mannered. He is house trained, crate trained, has a fast recall, and knows “sit.” He keeps his crate tidy and has great routines. He also has a healthy appetite and happily enjoys most treats, especially a good chew or relaxing on his dog bed after playtime.

This athletic boy can jump impressively high and loves to stay active, but he also has a cuddly, affectionate side that makes him a perfect companion at the end of the day.

Tre would do best as the only dog in the home, as he can be selective with other dogs and thrives when he has his person’s full attention.

He does experience anxiety during storms and can become very scared when it rains, so he will need a patient, understanding home that can provide comfort and reassurance during those times.

Tre was saved from a euthanasia list in Houston, Texas, and is now safe in foster care while waiting for his forever home.

He is fully vetted, neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and has been maintained on heartworm prevention. He is available for out-of-state transport to the right adopter.

If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and fun-loving companion who will stick by your side through everything, Tre could be your perfect match. Please reach out to schedule a FaceTime meet and greet and learn more about bringing him home.

Loving Paws of the South's Adoption Policy
Most adoptions begin with an online application. Each application is carefully reviewed by three members of our board to help ensure every dog is placed in a safe, appropriate, and loving home. As part of the vetting process, we contact all listed references, including veterinary and references. We also verify the applicant’s address and type of residence and may request a home tour. Once approved, applicants begin our two-week foster-to-adopt program. This trial period gives the dog and family time to adjust and helps ensure the placement is a good long-term fit before the adoption is finalized.
