Travis's Story

Travis might have the appearance of a big Rottweiler, but inside he's a cuddly teddy bear!

He was found as a stray in New Mexico, with wounds on his back leg likely from a dog fight. He was treated at the vet there and has since been doing very well. He gets along great with other dogs, and is on the submissive side. He enjoys sniffing everything he can get his nose on, and he loves treats. He is still skinny from living life as a stray, and will need to gain a few pounds. He is kennel-trained and quiet, and walks well on a leash. He is mostly house-trained but his sniffing/marking behavior will need to be corrected quickly so he knows not to continue.

Travis is fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $250.

If interested in adopting, please fill out the application at the following link: https://www.wildwestpetrescue.org/adopt
