Trapper's Story
Meet Trapper!

If you’re looking for a peaceful companion to brighten your days, meet this sweet mini poodle. Unlike the high-energy stereotype, this boy is a quiet, calm gentleman who has mastered the art of being the perfect lap dog.

While he’s usually very chill, he has one adorable quirk: he does a little "happy dance" every time he knows a meal is coming! He’s a dream in the house-potty trained, crate trained, and a quiet traveler who rides beautifully in the car.

Living with Others: He currently lives with five other small dogs and gets along with everyone. He’s even started showing his playful side, especially with a Pomeranian friend his size! He is gentle, allows you to pick him up, and isn't a "barker."

Note: He came to us with extreme matting and had to be shaved down, but his coat is growing back and will soon match his beautiful spirit!

Basics: He is a 6 yr old male and weighs close to 6lbs. He is currently in a foster home in North Kansas City with 5 other small dogs, a 7yr old boy and foster mom and dad.

Adoption fee is $480 and includes neuter, vaccines, rabies, fecal, heartworm test, de-wormer, microchip, flea-tick and heartworm prevention

Adoption Process:
- STEP 1: Please fill out our adoption application: https://www.dayofthedogs.org/adoption-application
- One of our team members will get back to you via phone.
- Our dogs can be seen by appointment only. We do not have a facility at this time. Dogs are in foster homes or boarding. FYI we are in Kansas City, MO. Petfinder still hasn't update our location from Indiana.
- Adoption fee helps to cover transport costs, spay/neuter, initial vaccines, rabies, fecal, initial worming, and microchip.
-We do not place holds on our dogs. Please do not contact us until you are prepared to adopt. NOTE: We are very good about updating the pet's profiles once adopted. So no need to write us to ask "Is he/she still available?" If the post is up, the dog is still available.

About Us: Day of the Dogs is a 501c3 nonprofit. Since 2015 we have been dedicated to helping shelters increase live release. We coordinate 2 - 4 transports per month from TX, OK and AR to NW Indiana/Chicagoland and the Kansas City area. We do direct adoptions ourselves out of Kansas City and NW Indiana areas. We also partner with other rescues and shelters in IN, IL, KS and MO that are willing to help southern pets in need. We rely on donations to help fund our ongoing transports. Please donate if you can. Every dollar adds up and we are grateful for any help we can get: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/DayoftheDogs
