Trapper's Story

Trapper is a 1.5-year-old, 48 lb mixed breed with a story of resilience and a heart full of love. Before coming to us, Trapper had a very rough start. For nearly two weeks, we worked to track him down after receiving a tip that he was running loose with a claw trap attached to his paw. Thanks to a wonderful helper with Emergency Rescue Coalition who traveled many miles to assist, Trapper was safely and professionally trapped and rushed to the vet for the care he desperately needed. Because of the injury, Trapper had to have two toes amputated, but it hasn't slowed him down one bit. This brave boy still has a zest for life and a gentle spirit that shines through every day. Trapper is sweet, gentle, and loves spending time outdoors. He can be a little shy at first, which is completely understandable given everything he's been through, but he warms up quickly to kind people and loves anyone who shows him love in return. Trapper is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, and ready to leave his past behind for good. This little warrior is looking for a forever home where he can finally feel safe, loved, and cherished.
