TRACE IS READY TO FIND HIS VERY FIRST HOME! <br/><br/>Meet Trace. <br/><br/>Trace is a 4-year-old, 15-pound Pomeranian who is ready to trade his past for the life he should have had all along.<br/><br/>Trace's life didn't exactly come with a great user manual. He was used for breeding and had very little human interaction, so when he first arrived in rescue, the big wide world—and especially people—were pretty darn scary.<br/>But guess what? Trace has discovered that humans can be pretty wonderful. <br/>He has learned to completely trust his foster mom and has become her adorable little shadow. Wherever she goes, Trace is right behind her. And when something scares him? He makes a beeline for his person because he knows she will keep him safe. <br/><br/>And once Trace feels safe with you, his personality starts to shine. He is loving, incredibly sweet, intelligent, a fast learner, and surprisingly silly! He has a fun little sense of humor and can be quite the goofball once he lets his guard down. <br/><br/>Basically, there's a whole lot of adorable Pomeranian personality hiding underneath that shy exterior. <br/><br/>Traces perfect home will understand that trust takes time. He needs someone who will let him go at his own pace, be patient with him, and show him—over and over—that he is safe and loved.<br/><br/> A quiet home without children would be ideal. Someone who is home more often than not would be wonderful. Another dog—or three!—around his size to help him feel comfortable would be the icing on his little Pomeranian cake. A secure, fully fenced yard is required because Trace is still learning about all those strange outdoor sights and sounds and can spook easily.<br/> <br/>He has never lived with cats, but since he isn't particularly interested in chasing things, a kitty companion may be considered.<br/> <br/>He is working hard on his potty skills and wears a belly band for good measure. Hey, nobody's perfect!<br/><br/>Trace isn't looking for someone who expects him to become a social butterfly overnight. He's looking for his person. Someone who will be his protector. Someone who will give him time. Someone who will celebrate the little victories—the first time he confidently walks into a room, the first time he asks for attention, the first time he realizes, Ohhh...this is my HOME. <br/><br/>If you think you could be that person for Trace, we would love for you to apply to meet him. Adoption fee is $350, ($600 for a pair).
