Tow Mater's Story

Meet Tow Mater! Mater was rescued back in March with his mother Viola who has since been adopted. We believe they were most likely dumped by backyard breeders. They were in awful condition and ended up getting sick with respiratory illnesses. It took a lot to get him back to health but he is doing so much better and is the happiest boy. Mater is a one year old bulldog mix. He has a funny walk due to poor nutrition when he was a puppy. He does have Rickets and was kept in a crate too small for him.

Mater is very dog friendly! He gets along with every dog he meets. He does have a deep bark so an apartment complex would not be good for him. He has not been around cats but given his demeanor we think he would be fine. He is also house and crate trained. His tail wags 24/7.

Mater is fully vetted- up to date on all shots, neutered and microchipped. He is heartworm negative. He’s current on monthly flea, tick and heartworm prevention. He’s available locally for meet and greets. He can also be adopted out of state to approved adopters- a transport fee would be additional to his adoption fee.
