Toudou.'s Story

I fostered him when he was under a year old and found him what we hoped would be his furever home with four ROT students. One student in particular bonded with him. Sadly, after ROTC his owner was transferred by the AirForce and couldn't take this guy with him. I offered to foster Toudou again until we could find the best home for him. He's now almost four, is neutered, is current on his shots and heartworm negative. Toudou is a super fun-loving guy. He loves to play and go for walks.
He has been a wonderful companion to me and I am completely devoted to him. However, I have cats and free-range chickens which, as a typical Aussie, he wants to herd. I also have two large livestock dogs.
Recently, one of my big dogs has attacked this guy which has been frightening for both of us. Toudou has a pretty big ego and although he's only about 35 pounds he thinks he can take the 100+ pound livestock dog. As a result, Toudou has limited time outside as I work full time and it's unsafe to leave him in the vard We don a walk in everv dav and have great fun playing in the evenings, but this limits time with the other animals, and it is super stressful maintaining the separation. Not ideal. It will break my heart to see him go, but he deserves to have a furever home that gives him all he needs. He would be best in a home where there are no cats or small children. In typical Aussie fashion he is initially fearful of new people and tends to nip on first meeting so needs patience during the first meeting.
Once he knows he can trust he is incredibly attached to his person. He is housebroken and is super well behaved while I'm at work - doesn't chew or get into things he's not supposed to. Please call or email me to ask any questions or if you would like to set up a meeting or even a trial period.
Contact me at
402-871-4686
Or email.kerreyms@aol.com
