Toto

Toto is an incredibly sweet little "scruffy" dog (terrier mix), estimated to be around 12 years old and weighing 10 lb. He was picked up as a stray after his previous owner left him with a family member. He was not claimed, so came to Misty Eyes for medical treatment. He was a dirty, matted, flea-infested mess. We found that he had an ear and skin infection, as well as really bad teeth. Toto has overcome his physical ailments, although his skin and coat still need some conditioning. Being deaf and toothless is not a problem for him. He can eat dry dog food, as long as it's very small kibble. He does enjoy having a little wet food added to his meal, and he loves soft treats. He has already learned some hand signals, although, being a terrier, he may choose to ignore them at times. His favorite thing is to be near his person. He lives with other dogs in his foster home and does well with them, although he has been frightened by a bigger dog who bullies him. He would be fine as an only dog, or with another mellow, easy-going dog.
