Tori's Story

Tori need s to be the only 4 legged in the home. She needs a warm home, soft bed and a family to love her. She's a favorite of our volunteers, 65 lbs, vaccinated and is spayed and chipped. Seeking foster, adopter or rescue. Tori has a high prey-drive so we believe she needs to be the only pet in the household. She's cuddly, loves treats and is such a good girl. Good temperament with people and is doing well in her foster home. Blue Island Stray Dog Project's Adoption Policy

We have potential adopters fill out an application (linked on PetFinder or please email Blueislandstrays@gmail.com). Once we get a potential adopters application, we process background checks, vet checks, and reference checks. We like to speak and get to know the adopter to ensure a good fit and set up the adopter and the dog for success! Once approved for adoption, we like to conduct home visits when possible, and if a potential adopter has another dog in the house, we make it mandatory for dog meets with the other dog; sometimes, more than once.
