TOPH's Story
Toph (A141749) is an 8-year-old AK Husky who weighed 48.4 pounds on intake! 04/16/26 This photogenic gal is Toph! Toph was surrendered to the shelter because she was retiring from running and looking to transition to more of an indoor lifestyle. However, Toph still has a lot of energy and would love to get out and run on a rec team, or possibly take up skijoring, in her senior years. She was said to get overenthusiastic when geared up to go on a run, which has led her to be a bit nippy in the past. She may do best in a home without young children, given her prior behavior. Toph was also noted to do well with male dogs but can be selective when it comes to other female dogs. She has no know experience with cat or pocket pets. Please ensure you are making appropriate introductions with new animals. Toph has spent time living indoors, is kennel-trained and housebroken, and rides well in a vehicle. It was stated that she can jump fences if given the chance and left unsupervised. She should always be on a leash, secure tie-out, or supervised while in a fenced-in yard. If you are interested in meeting Toph, please let us know!
