Her boarding facility is only a temporary measure to keep her from being in jeaopardy in over full shelter. She is fully vaccinated and she is in a boarding facility in dire need of a foster home or foster with intent to adopt. It is so important to dogs that they be in a home and learn social skills which boarding facilities cannot supply. This is a very nice dog worthy of the save, time and patience to give her a forever home. That is our goal. She weighs approximately 58 pounds and guestimated at 4 years old as of 2025. She is people friendly, does not appear to have had much training but is responsive and anxious to please. She has a great temperament. The good sam donor that is helping her, had her professional groomed. She was hesitant at first and it took 3 times to get her in proper condition but she loved it after she realized what was happening. No serious reactions towards humans handling her at the groomers. She does well in a car and was in a crate and is crate broke. She does like the crate and went in on her own. She does not appear to be excessive vocal but does howl when her visitor. Huskies are very social dogs on the whole. And she does bark in excitement when someone visits but it is just a hi you are here bark. Boarding facility says she is a quiet dog. She was a champ at the veterinarians.. nothing upset or worried her. A good patient. She is not comfortable with dogs her own size or larger, it starts out uneasy and then she gets more intense in her defensive reaction. She does get along with smaller dogs, she was in a home with a female Cocker and was fine with it. She was smaller than the husky. So she needs a non confrontational companion dog like the Cocker was if she is to go to a home with another dog. No cat or children exposure has been tested. We cannot know some things because she is not in a foster home environment. We don’t know if she is a digger or a fence crawler either. That is to be determined. Some Huskies are definitely fence scalers. As far as we know she has never had Shocking devices or hurtful collars used on her. We don’t sanction those for our dogs. It can cause harm to a dog forever and break truck. She is very leach straining at first but then settles down and gets responsive. She did a meet and greet with a potential adopter in the shelter, and some man got hasty in his approach and she was uneasy and backed away, but did not growl or get ugly. Just cautious with a stranger so would need reasonable introductions to new guests. Don’t know about playing with toys or balls because in her environment and containment she is on leash when out of her kennel. We will test out new things as we an and update this bio. She has shown no interest in toys to date, toys tested was balls, squeaky toy, ropes, none I noticed her to date. ** Many working breeds do not play with toys, this is not uncommon but she might learn to like them.

HISTORY: This dog was a stray so we have no history whatsoever on her. She just ended up in the shelter.

GOOD: She gives good eye contact. She slept with a temp foster mom in her bed and with the Cocker. This was day two in the home. Good adjuster. She came to work with a volunteer to work for four hours and then had to go back to the shelter, she did awesome and sat near the volunteer and laid on her feet under the desk and did not move. Loyal dog like most huskies. She was taken out to meet other employees that she had never seen and she was curious and approached them on her own terms carefully and did just fine with them.

BAD: Because she is in a boarding facility we do not know if she is housebroken but she never went potty in her crate. When she was at the pound and was visited by the volunteer.. there was pee and poo in her kennel run but they never let dogs out so she had no choice. JCLDR CAN HELP WITH ANYTHING THIS DOG IS NEGATIVE ON and WILL. We do behavior issues and some good rehab with you to teach her how to choose what others have failed in her past to do.

UGLY: Would be sensitive and selective with other dog interactions. With humans it has been all positives.
