Tootsie is a sweet, happy 2-year-old, 30-pound Shiba Inu mix who starts her mornings with a smile and ends her days curled up close to her favorite person.<br/><br/>She’s housebroken and does great in her crate, making her an easy addition to the right home. She bonds deeply with her humans and loves being near them.<br/><br/>Tootsie has a medium energy level, and enjoys a walk then settles into a low-key companion who enjoys relaxing at home. She loves getting outside for fresh air and would make a great hiking or walking partner for someone who enjoys a little adventure.<br/><br/>She’s currently learning her basic commands like wait, sit, and watch me, and she’s eager to please. She’s still polishing up her leash skills but walks very nicely using a Gentle Leader–style head halter.<br/><br/>Tootsie is fostered with other dogs and generally ignores them unless they invade her space. She could do well as an only dog, or possibly with a calm dog who respects her boundaries — ideally a larger male dog who will give her space and not be pushy.<br/><br/>One of Tootsie’s most charming quirks? She gives the cutest little “guilty smile” when she knows she might be in trouble. She’s also a fairly quiet girl and doesn’t bark much.<br/><br/>Tootsie is spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated.
