Tootsie is a 2 year old pit bull mix in a rich chocolate coat with white toes that look like she tiptoed through paint. She is petite for her breed at around 45 pounds, the perfect size for couch cuddles without taking the whole couch. One look at her happy face and swiveling satellite ears and you will be smiling right back at her.<br/><br/>Tootsie is a friendly, devoted girl who bonds deeply with her people. Once she knows you, you have a friend for life. Loyal is the word everyone lands on with this girl. She wants to be where her people are, and she gives back every ounce of love she receives. Because she gives her heart so completely to her own family, Tootsie would prefer a quieter home without frequent visitors coming and going. She would rather spend her evenings curled up with her favorite people than work a crowded room.<br/><br/>She is house trained, so she arrives with the hardest lesson already learned and is ready to settle right into home life.<br/><br/>Early signs suggest Tootsie is dog friendly, and we are still getting to know how she does with other dogs as she settles in. If you have a resident dog, we will set up a careful meet and greet to make sure everyone hits it off. She has not yet been tested with cats.<br/><br/>Tootsie is not yet spayed, and we will work with her adopter on getting that scheduled as part of the adoption.<br/><br/>At 2 years old she is past the puppy chaos but still young enough for adventures, road trips, and learning new tricks.
