Toni's Story

After going from one foster home to another, she has settled down into our home ever so quickly. The first night she met two of our seven large dogs. Her foster dad said she would be introduced “slowly” to the other dogs; but, by the next morning her foster mom awoke to find her running and playing outside with all the others like they had been long-lost friends. At 51 lbs., Toni is a small two-year old Rott mix with her tail intact. She has the gentle soul of a Rottie--just a little more petite in size. She loves the company of other dogs and adores playing with a stick or ball with one of the Labradors holding one end and she biting down on the other end. They run and run, and pull and pull, and go round and round in circles having an absolute blast. We don’t know how aggressive she would be with cats. She did run after one once in the house. Toni has so much personality and is a wonderful little dog. She doesn’t particularly like to be crated, but minds so well she doesn’t need to be. Besides, she looks like a little angel sleeping smack in the middle of one of those great big dog beds. Toni rides beautifully in the car. She is gentle and walks very well on a lead. And, Toni is heartworm negative--yeah! Now, if someone could give her that forever home, they will be blessed with much affection and the most soulful eyes that melt your heart every time she looks up at you.

Foster_email: richard.meriam@mustangeng.com
