Tommy Orange's Story

I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereTommy Orange is the sweetest little couch potato. He loves people and gets very attached once he feels comfortable. After being hit by a car, he’s been adjusting well as a tripod and is gaining confidence more each day as he heals.

He’s good with cats and does well with dogs he knows. On leash he can be a bit reactive with unfamiliar dogs, but it’s manageable and improving with slow introductions and continued training. Positive reinforcement will be important in helping him with his feelings towards other dogs.

Tommy would be great for someone looking for a low-energy companion. He doesn’t need long exercise walks and he’s happiest lounging on the couch and being a lap dog. He may do best in a home without other dogs, though he could adjust with proper introductions if you're willing to give it time. Because he’s a tripod, a home with fewer stairs would be ideal. He’s truly a loving, loyal companion just looking for the right place to call home.

Click here to learn how to adopt and submit your adoption questionnaire.
