Tommy's Story

We wanted you all to see how good Tommy is doing. Tommy was found almost a year ago now under leaves in a ditch left to die. He was a bag of bones couldn’t walk filthy so thickly matted we couldn’t tell his head from his butt. He’s ancient and we thought blind and deaf. It took a really long time to get any weight on this guy but happy to say he’s now gained quite a few pounds in his new foster home and has even started playing with toys! The transformation has been nothing short of miraculous. This little old guy is leash and crate trained. He wears a diaper or belly band in the day but can hold it overnight. He’s sweet and great with dogs and people. We just want a nice senior home for this old guy who will keep him groomed and healthy as can be. There is no adoption fee for Tommy. We think he’s either a shihtzu or peke or Maltese or mix of several small white hypoallergenic dogs. He’s got the cutest little snaggle tooth. Please text (704) 650-9653 if already approved. Others please apply at www.peanutsplacerescue.org click application scroll down til it appears.

When we found poor old Tommy by way of a good Sam, he was unrecognizable as a dog, years of neglect and pounds of matting, dehydrated disoriented and just laying in a hole to die. After vetting and grooming and some good fostering Tommy is making a recovery and such a sweet old soul. Tommy might be a Pekingese and he’s good with dogs kids and everyone. He’s ancient and frail. He eats wet food loves to snuggle and take naps! That’s Tommy’s life. If that sounds your speed, then Tommy is the guy for you. Perfect angel. With many of our seniors we just want the best home and there is no set fee. Please apply to foster or adopt Tommy at www.peanutsplacerescue.org click application scroll down til it appears.
