Hi, I’m Tommy!<br/>I’m a happy, easygoing four-year-old pittie who just wants to be part of someone’s everyday life. I'm a big Netflix and chill guys, your perfect rainy day cuddle bug, or Sunny day neighborhood stroll partner. <br/><br/>My absolute favorite thing in the world is a sniff walk on my retractable leash. Let me explore a bit, follow my nose, check out the neighborhood... then I’m ready to head home, curl up on the couch, and snooze next to you. I’m a toy guy, too — give me something plush or squeaky and I’m a happy boy. Mostly, I just want to hang out and be included. That’s where I shine.<br/><br/>I like people of all kinds, and have many dog friends of all ages, sizes and breeds. I currently live with my two senior sisters, and 2 adult brothers. Ive played nicely and got a long with many dogs in my time at The Red Dog Rescue. However, sometimes when I get really nervous or excited, I can be rude to my housemates and have to be managed. My rescue people are more willing to explain to anyone interested what that means!<br/><br/>I’m not a fan of the crate but will reluctantly go in, especially if bribed with a yummy treat! I have big time FOMO and you’ll hear the song of my people if you’re home and I’m in the crate! I sleep through the night until I hear your alarm go off - that means it’s time for you to get up and let me out! I’m also quiet while my foster mama is at work but I know the sound of her truck and will start singing when I know she’s home.<br/><br/>Baths and nail trims? Im a good boy for them and I’ll tolerate the spa treatment if it means extra cuddle time afterward.<br/><br/>I’m looking for someone who enjoys a little adventure but also appreciates a good couch buddy. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who’s happy to explore the world and nap through a movie with you, I’d really like to meet you.

The Red Dog Rescue's Adoption Policy
We have an extensive adoption application for each dog. Each application must be filled out entirely. We reserve the right to decline your interest in an adoptable dog at any point. We place each dog in a home where the adopter is already living the lifestyle the dog needs. We do a 1 on 1 meet and greet first. Next we do an in adopters home meet and greet to evaluate how the dog will do in their potential home, and routine. We ensure they have appropriate space etc. We then have adoptions pending on sleepover or trial period going well with the adopter to ensure its a good fit and nobody is rushed or pressured.
