Tommy's Story

Tommy is another lucky one that came a rescue group in a neighboring county. He appears to be housebroken, but it is difficult to be positive in a shelter environment. Tommy is very timid, but does walk well on a leash. The poor guy appears to be head shy, as he drops to the ground if you raise your hand to pet him. We believe that he will overcome this fear once he realizes it is a friendly hand. Tommy seems to have a very gentle personality as well. He does have numerous scars on his face, possible from having to fight for food. Tommy also arrived heartworm positive and is available to go home as a foster to adopt. His new family will have the opportunity to bond with him while they figure out each other's needs. Our awesome medical team will treat Tommy and his adoption will be finalized upon completion. Tommy is neutered, microchipped and current on core vaccines.
