Tom's Story

Try to imagine the shift in this little guy's life. One of 50 dogs from a hoarding/abandonment case in Yuma. One day he is scrapping for his essential basic needs and the next day, in a house where he does not know he doesn't need to fight for anything anymore. It took a minute. My dogs are all conflict avoiders. Not much worth fighting for in their world. The silence of his "keep separate" space also took awhile to get used to. He had fleas, ticks and worms and now anaplasma, a tick borne infection. <br/>Now two weeks into his new life, his potential is coming into focus. What a sweet, cuddly boy. Really quite good with the other dogs, big and little now that he knows they will not hurt him. He is house trained. He is a cuddler. I mean "snuggler under the covers type cuddler. Going to be a great pet for someone who can understands his history and can continue to coach him into his better left.
