Walter@svn.com 916-769-2303

Named after one of the arctic’s most heroic sled dogs, Togo, this precious boy is ready for his forever home. 7-12 mos old, 45 lbs., he was found injured, scared and hobbling down the street.
Per vet and X-rays, it appears he was hit by a car and never treated. The front leg he favors is fractured in several places but is healing correctly. His hips are permanently affected but there is no surgical solution.
Even though his hips are wonky, and his broken front leg is still healing, his mind and spirit don’t seem to realize all of this! He’s busy jumping off decks, joyfully wiggling and playing, jumping over baby gates, learning commands, napping with his new human friends, happily meeting other doggies, and making that heart-wrenching and funny husky yip and yodel if he thinks you’re leaving him behind.
This is a wonderful, amazing, very, very smart dog. He learns fast, is very playful and joyful, very affectionate and trainable, and as a husky, true to his breed in being clever, athletic and independent. He’s a doggie dog, so no cats - he will pursue.
At 45 lbs, he will likely get a little larger. He attached very quickly to his foster parents and is desperate to be the right someone’s fiercely loyal, funny, smart, snuggly member of the family and the pack. As a typical Husky, he will take extra training as they understand the commands but might decide not to follow the command. Please help save Togo.
The husky rescues and shelters in CA are overflowing with healthy dogs and the foster volunteers have many more animals than they can handle.
