Toffee's Story
Shelter Assessment:

DOG FRIENDLY

Easy to leash and walks well

Allows full body touch

Loves to play toys

Knows sit

Gentle with treats

Day Out Notes:
- Absolutely adorable and handsome, he even received a compliment from a stranger regarding his good looks
- Was easy to leash and handle
- May pull a bit while walking but nothing that cant be handled or likely worked on
- When walking he wanted to go at a job pace while at the park so a jogger/runner would likely be a great fit for him
- LOVED soaking up all of the attention and allowed full body touching. We relaxed in the shade for a bit and he laid down and just enjoyed all the attention. He has the sweetest disposition and I think would make a great family dog.
- We went to the play area of a park where there were families and sat on a bench and he didn't react to kids walking/running around or any of the activity
- He wasn't bad in the car, but was definitely excited to be out. It was more moving from one side of the back seat to the other. I think a copilot to help keep his attention would be good until he's more used to car rides. He did settle down a bit more on our way back and laid down and looked out the window.

Toffee is current on shots, licensed, and microchipped. All dogs over 6 months have been heartworm tested, and all dogs are treated monthly for fleas/ticks and are on Heartworm prevention (NexGard PLUS). All pets are spayed/neutered prior to a finalized adoption. People visiting the shelter in person or viewing animals on our website will note that all of our dogs are labeled as Mixed Breeds unless they have been DNA tested or are surrendered to the shelter with paperwork. Any potential breeds listed here on PetFinder are not assumed to be accurate and are merely a starting point for people to be able to search for a dog who may visually resemble a breed they are interested in. We feel that the best matches are made based on a dogs individual personality and recommend families come meet our animals in person. Please reach out with any questions!
