Meet Toffee! <br/><br/>Age: 19 weeks<br/>Sex: Male, not yet neutered<br/>Weight: 18 lbs<br/>Energy Level: Medium<br/>Fostered In: Stratford, ON<br/><br/>Personality & Story<br/><br/>Toffee is a sweet, shy little boy who has already overcome so much. He and his siblings were found severely malnourished after surviving in a brushy area with very limited access to food and water.<br/><br/>Now safe in foster care, Toffee is slowly learning what it means to feel comfortable and safe in a home.<br/><br/>Progress in Foster Care<br/><br/>Toffee is starting to come out of his shell, showing more interest in his surroundings and becoming a little braver each day. He has taken a particular liking to his foster dad and is beginning to seek out that connection.<br/><br/>He's even making progress with the stairs, taking a few steps to come back inside after potty breaks. House-training is still a work in progress and he has had some accidents, but he successfully went potty outside today, which is a big step for this shy boy!<br/><br/>Toffee is still cautious, but we're seeing more of his sweet personality emerge as he realizes he is safe.<br/><br/>Ideal Home<br/><br/>Toffee will need a patient family who can give him time to build confidence, along with gentle guidance, routine, and positive reinforcement.
