Todd's Story

Meet Todd. Yes…Todd. 🤣❤️
Todd is a 1–2 year old, 15-pound Yorkie-ish magical mystery dog who looks like he was assembled from spare parts of “ridiculously cute” and “tiny woodland creature with opinions.”
Todd is what we like to call a “work in progress with main character energy.” He’s bouncy, expressive, and currently enrolled in training with our amazing partners @pawtasticfriendslv .
He’s making progress daily, but he’s not showing up to your house as a finished product. He’s showing up as a project with huge potential and a very loud opinion about it. When Todd meets new people, his first instinct is: “STRANGER DANGER?? SOUND THE ALARM.”
He can be vocal and nervous at first, but if you give him time, space, and patience, he warms up and starts to show his sweet, goofy, affectionate side.
The Todd Highlights:
✔️ Crate trained
✔️ Mostly house trained (occasional “oops, my bad”)
✔️ Loves walks (currently believes he is the one walking you)
✔️ Big fan of fruits, veggies, and ALLLLL the treats
✔️ Learning that toys are actually fun and not suspicious objects
✔️ Will absolutely keep your yard under strict bark-based surveillance
Todd DOES have a history of resource guarding, and while he’s improving, this is something his future human needs to understand and continue working on. He’s not a “set it and forget it” dog.
He also doesn’t love being left alone for long stretches, so he’s looking for someone with time, patience, and a genuine interest in helping him become his best self. Think: enrichment activities, consistency (that’s a BIG one), and a calm, structured environment.
Todd’s dream home:
*A house with a yard (for zoomies and passionate monologues)
*An experienced or very committed owner
*Someone patient, consistent, and not easily rattled by barking
*Not a beginner dog home
*Unknown with kids and other animals, so slow introductions or a solo-dog/no kids under 13 may be best.
If you’re the kind of person who roots for the underdog, laughs at a little chaos, and finds joy in helping a dog figure life out… Todd might just be your guy.
APPLY FOR TODD ➡️ https://form.jotform.com/203585160919157
