Todd's Story
**** Courtesy Posting ****

Todd is a 4 year old bundle of energy. He’s honestly almost perfect. So, so, so smart. Interested in a dog sport? I think he would excel at any of them and LOVE it. He is so easy to train. He’s good in his crate. He likes to cuddle. Good with other dogs and cats. He’s a great dog.

The only downfall… Todd has a little bit of a resource guarding problem. It is extremely manageable by a person able to follow instructions (ie not a young child). He would do better in a home where people are neat (he loves to find socks, random items on the floor, etc., and then will guard them). It is easily manageable, trade for treat or I just let him have whatever he found. He doesn’t usually try to destroy it just carries it around wondering if someone wants to take it from him. We have worked very hard on “give”. And are starting on “drop it”. But this behavior will always be something that he needs managed.
